Getting busy! The Barn A Day devolved into a barn an every once in a while! Yikes! So today and tomorrow will be the final two barns of the series. I really appreciate everyone who provided suggestions for sites. Over half the barns in the series were recommended by you guys – and there were even more suggestions that I couldn’t even get to – at least for this series. I know if I don’t get to at least the Western New York recommendations, my homies will be pretty cranky!
With tomorrow’s barn (my personal favorite of the series), I will also announce the winner of the triptych! And of course, if you suggested a barn and I published it you get to choose your favorite shot and recieve a free 4×4 of it! Today’s barn? Well, as Madonna sang, “Beauty’s Where You Find It”. Even though this barn is empty, unused, and almost completely overgrown I still see some beauty here. It had a twin sitting just to the right, and then an old farmhouse just down the hill a little ways. This shot represents my intention in exploring this theme…I can imagine a once thriving farm here, and with the decline of agriculture in our area the family had to find other ways to survive. Pure speculation of course, but…
